Upon arrival from school each afternoon, the children receive a snack. After this, children enjoy a variety of activities within age-appropriate groups consisting of arts & crafts, games, dramatic play, computer activities, and sports. We also encourage out-door time on our playground during nice weather. Most of the time, children have free choice in their activity. We strive to meet each child's individual needs while encouraging spiritual growth and fellowship.

Behavioral Policy
The Kids Crossing Learning Center has implemented a new procedure to address aggressive behavior in children and behavioral problems within the classroom.
Aggressive behavior in children is defined as any behavior that consistently infringes upon the rights of others. Examples may include, but not be limited to, kicking, biting, hitting, spitting, or pushing. A behavioral problem is defined as a problem that persists after the teachers have clearly addressed the behavior in question. Teachers will state, in advance, the choices and consequences to follow should the behavior in question continue.
Action Steps:
The first incident will be reported in a written Incident Report, which will be read and signed by the child's parent.
If the behavior continues to occur, then a meeting will be scheduled with the parents, the child's teacher, and the Director. At this time, the parents and the teacher will discuss and agree to a Corrective Plan for the child to follow.
A second meeting will be arranged if the child's behavior does not improve. This meeting will establish a Probationary Period in which either the child's behavior will improve or the child will be expelled from KCLC.
A follow-up meeting will be scheduled at the end of the Probationary Period to re-evaluate the situation. Please be advised that it may become necessary for KCLC to decide to ask parents to make alternative arrangements for their child.
